The outpouring of support for the Hurricane Katrina Relief effort is unprecedented. The Red Cross which is just one of the many charitable organizations has raised over 300 Million Dollars. Walmart has donated 15 Million Dollars and the Walton family an Additional 8 Million Dollars. Big companies like SBC, IBM, and Microsoft are creating communication systems so Hurricane Katrina Victims separated from their families can find each other.

Many individuals are calling the Red Cross and other groups and donating money. People need to continue to donate as much money as they can and then dig deeper and give more. It may be possible for you to double your donation without any extra out of pocket cost's to you.

Many Major companies are offering to match any employee donations. If you have already donated then contact your company and see if they have a donation matching program and does the money you already donated qualify. If the donations do qualify take the time to fill at the forms and follow the procedure to get those matching funds.

If you haven't already donated then contact your company and see if they have a matching donation policy. If the do follow the proper procedures and effectively double your donation. If your company doesn't have a donation match then go ahead and give anyway.
